Momentum, Inc. Makes Donation To The 2019 Cumberland Valley Mini-THON
Momentum, Inc. is proud to play a part in the battle against childhood cancer. The company recently made a $500 donation to the Cumberland Valley Mini-THON in the memory of Briana Keefe, who lost her battle to a rare form of cancer in 2009. Over the past six years, Momentum has been instrumental in raising money for Briana’s Hope, benefiting childhood cancer research.
The check was accepted on the organization’s behalf at this year’s Mini-THON at Cumberland Valley High School, which was held on March 8th and 9th, 2019. The event aims to conquer childhood cancer by raising money for the Four Diamonds fund. Cumberland Valley Mini-THON is a student run organization that fundraises all year up until the night of Mini-THON. The students’ efforts raised $303,529.19 towards childhood cancer this year.
Briana Keefe was a 10-year-old from Mechanicsburg who lost her battle with cancer in 2009. Briana’s Hope raises money for organizations that have joined in the fight against childhood cancer, including the Four Diamonds Fund, Penn State Hershey Medical Center Glioma Research, Hospice of Central Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins Hospital. Each were identified charities of Briana’s Hope for the role they played in the care of Briana.
Momentum raises money and awareness for local charities as part of their “Sharing Our Success” campaign. The company started the campaign in 2008 as a way to give back to the local community.
