Momentum, Inc. Makes Holiday Wishes Come True
During the holiday season, Momentum, Inc. donates goods to local charities in order to bring holiday cheer to families and others in need. The company came through once again by donating goods to the Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties (DVSCP) and the Holiday Wish Program organized through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
Each year, Momentum employees collect various cleaning supplies, baby items, household necessities, and clothing in addition to providing a monetary donation to support the DVSCP. The organization relies on donations in order to provide services and lodging free of charge to individuals who come to the shelter. The DVSCP is dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence live life violence free. The most important services they offer is a twenty-four hour toll free hotline and counseling services as well as an emergency shelter to provide families with basic necessities.
Momentum also contributes to the Holiday Wish Program that is organized through PennDOT and is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. Selected families fill out a wish list of items/gifts they would like to receive. Momentum employees then help contribute to these wish lists by donating gifts to the program in order to make the family’s holiday a little brighter.
Momentum raises money and awareness for local charities as part of their “Sharing Our Success” campaign. The company started the campaign in 2008 as a way to give back to the local community. The company’s chosen 2015 charities include the Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties, Briana’s Hope, Dress For Success South Central PA, and PinnacleHealth’s Bailey House.
