Momentum, Inc. would like to invite all of our partners, clients and friends to the 3rd Annual Dress For Success (DFS) Power Walk on Saturday, May 11, 2013.   Momentum will once again be sponsoring the Healthy Snacks Tent.  The Power Walk consists of a 5K walk or run at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, 30 Hope Drive, Hershey, PA 17033.  Registration starts at 9:00 AM and the walk starts at 10:00 AM.

The Power Walk is a world wide fundraiser which promotes the Health & Wellness initiative of the Professional Women’s Group while raising funds and visibility for Dress For Success.  DFS empowers women to make healthy choices in work and in life and the Power Walk plays a crucial role in ensuring that women understand the need for a well balanced lifestyle.  The South Central PA chapter of DFS took it a step further by adding a scrub drive to help outfit disadvantaged women entering the medical field.

The healthy foods tent will include food and ingredients donated by local stores.  The raffles will include gym memberships, restaurants, and more.

Momentum employees participating in the 5K will also kick off their annual 8 week walking wellness program, which encourages employees to wear pedometers to keep track of their steps with the goal of 10,000 steps per day.

Momentum supports DFS of South Central PA as part of their “Sharing Our Success” program.  Started in 2008, the program is a way to give back to the local community.  Dress For Success South Central PA is one of the chosen 2013 charities along with Briana’s Hope/Fight Against Pediatric Cancer, the PinnacleHealth Bailey House, and Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties.
