Momentum Supports Walk of Solidarity
Momentum, Inc. walked in the Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties (DVSCP) Walk of Solidarity on Monday at the Camp Hill Memorial Day Parade. DVSCP requested males of any age to walk with them to make the statement that “we will not tolerate violence any longer.” Volunteers walked in silence, side-by-side wearing shirts stating, “No More.” The large group of men made a powerful statement about ending violence against women.
The DVSCP supports and empowers those who are experiencing domestic violence and promotes non-violence through social and system change. Donations to the DVSCP allow victims who come to the shelter to stay for no cost and to allow access to everyday necessities.
Momentum supports DVSCP as part of its “Sharing Our Success” campaign. The company started the campaign in 2008 as a way to give back to the local community.
